Safari in the most prolific safari capitals of the world-Kenya & Tanzania. Who said it is not possible to have the best of both worlds? This safari offers you the rare opportunity of setting out on safari to some of the most incredible safari wildlife areas in Africa: In Kenya your journey takes you to Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Amboseli, while in Tanzania you will have game drives in Lake Manyara, the vast Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater.
In Kenya you’ll learn about elephant conservation, visit a Maasai village, get to learn about the traditions, cultures, norms and day to day lives of a typical Maasai. You will go on game drives in search of some of Africa’s most incredible wildlife , animals and birds, from large herds of buffalos and elephants, to troops of lions, leopards, rare black & white rhinos, tree climbing lions of Lake Manyara, as well as thousands of wildebeest and Zebras on their annual migration in both Kenya’s Masai Mara and Tanzania’s Serengeti.
SAFARI ITINERARY
Very few journey experiences will compare to a safari holiday that combines travel to both Kenya and Tanzania, countries that would be on bucket list of every safari enthusiast. You will be on a private safari with some of our best expert safari guides who have had the pleasure and honour of guiding safaris in both Kenya and Tanzania for very many years. Our expert guides know how and where to spot lions, leopards or tigers. They will instinctively know the park tracks that will yield the highest concentration of wildlife viewings in the Masai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru or the vast mighty Serengeti or at the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL NAIROBI
Arrival at Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta Airport JKIA, where you will be met by our expert driver guide. You will be transferred to your Nairobi hotel for evening at leisure and dinner. You may participate in a number of activities including visits to, Karen Blixen Museum, David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, The Giraffe Centre or lunch/dinner at The Carnivore Restaurant.

DAY 2: DEPART NAIROBI to MASAI MARA
Today, we depart Nairobi and drive to Masai Mara, a very scenic drive. Arrival and check in at Mara Serena Safari Lodge. While staying at Mara Serena Safari Lodge, discover the Kenya safari of a lifetime. The Masai Mara is a vast, gently rolling landscape and home to the great wildebeest migration. Mara Serena Safari Lodge invites you to a world of luxury, dramatic views of the savannah and Mara River, beautiful sights & sounds, complimented by 5-star service and amenities. The Mara Serena Safari Lodge is the only safari lodge in the famous Mara Triangle.
You’ll have a sundowner experience with an evening game drive before returning to the lodge for overnight.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA
Embark on early morning game drives in search of wildlife and birds. Explore the rare beauty, rich traditions, vibrant dance & culture and norms of the Kenya’s Masai with a wide choice of safari activities and adventures that can only be created and experienced in Kenya. Experience a hot air balloon safari high above the vast Masai Mara plains in search of the “Big Five” (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino).

DAY 4: depart MASAI MARA to LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Depart from Masai Mara very early and embark on a 2hrs scenic drive to Lake Nakuru. You will end the trip with arrival to our safari lodge, Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp, inside Soysambu Conservancy within the Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy a late afternoon wildlife safari drive in search of the rhinos who are plentiful here. You will have a fabulous time staying close to the flamingo filled Lake Nakuru.
Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp is located on the shores of Lake Elmenteita in an awesome setting for your Kenya safari. The ambiance and dramatic views are something out of this world and will make your stay here rather special. Soysambu Conservancy is a 2hrs’ drive from Nairobi and a short 30 minutes; drive from Lake Nakuru. The conservancy is home to 450 bird species and over 15,000 wild animals. Stay at Lake Elmenteita Serena Lodge and go on wildlife-rich game drives, relax poolside, go horse riding, bird watching, spoil yourself to a soothing spa treatment, take a guided nature walk or sign up to a hot air balloon ride.

DAY 5: depart LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
The conservancy is a private reserve, so you may go on night game drives as the usual national park guidelines do not apply here. Night game drives give you a chance to spot leopards and the rest of the elusive domain hunters e.g the spring hares and aardvarks. On day game drives, you will spot plenty of zebras, gazelles, warthogs, buffaloes, giraffes and many more animal species. The conservancy hosts well over 450 birds’ species and avid birders have reported spotting over 60 species in a single day making Lake Nakuru a birder’s paradise including the flamingos and the rare Great White Pelican. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to the Black and White Rhino. You may alternatively choose to take a day boat riding fishing and nature walks excursion to Lake Bogoria and Baringo

DAY 6: depart LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK for AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK.
After a morning safari game drive in Lake Nakuru, we depart for the famous Amboseli National Park which is situated at the foot of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. The legendary snow-capped peak of Mt Kili as it is fondly referred to locally, is an imposing feature of Amboseli park and provides a dramatic backdrop.

DAY 7: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK.
Go for morning and afternoon safari game drives in the park while you soak in the stunning and dominating views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge was designed with adventurers in mind. DAY 8: depart AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK for ARUSHA
It is time to depart from Amboseli National Park and Kenya, as we continue the safari south to Arusha Tanzania for a continuation of your unforgettable safari adventure. Arusha is the gateway to the mighty Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and the rest of the northern Tanzania circuit national parks of Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Lake Eyasi etc.
Our accommodation for the night is Arusha Serena Hotel which is beautifully nestled on the slopes of Mount Meru at the edge of Lake Duluti. Depending on time of arrival at the hotel, you may visit Arusha and explore the majestic beauty, rich culture, serenity and ambiance of the Lake Duluti shores and area.

DAY 9: depart ARUSHA for LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Today after breakfast, we depart from Arusha and head to Lake Manyara National Park. Enroute we stop and visit the Mto wa Mbu village and have a guided cultural walk. You will have a chance to interact with the locals before continuing to Lake Manyara National Park and check into LAKE MANYARA SERENA SAFARI LODGE.
Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge is located in a quiet location along the Mto wa Mbu escarpment and amidst plentiful of wildlife and a home to over 300 migratory bird species that includes flamingoes, long-crested eagles and grey-headed kingfisher. You will embark on an evening game drive in search of the famous tree climbing lions unique to Lake Manyara National Park.

DAY 10: depart LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK for SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, on your way to the popular and vast Serengeti National Park, you will get a chance to visit the Olduvai Gorge, one of the world’s richest and best-preserved archeological sites. In the Serengeti, you will be spoilt for choice in sighting the big five, big cats and other wildlife plus birdlife.
Enjoy unlimited game drives in the vast Serengeti before retiring to Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. The lodge has stunning picturesque views across the Serengeti plains. This is luxury accommodation at its best in African-style rondavels amidst acacia trees that give one a total feel of privacy and comfort in the middle of the African bush.

DAY 10: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Today we depart from Serengeti Central to the Serengeti western corridor which is perhaps the most strategic location in the vast Serengeti for witnessing the annual great migration. You will have a series of game drives in the park in search of big cats and other wildlife in addition to witnessing one of the natural wonders of the world-the great wildebeest and zebras migration.
Accommodation is at the luxury, epitome of luxury Kirawira Serena Tented Camp. The camp is in colonial style lodging that will wow you. We have saved the best for last. Kirawira Serena Tented Camp belongs to a club of the small luxury hotels of the world. DAY 11: depart SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK for NGORONGORO
We depart Serengeti and have game drives enroute to Ngorongoro Crater area.

DAY 12: NGORONGORO
Today you will spend an entire day in the Ngorongoro Crater. You will depart from the lodge with packed picnic lunch boxes. You will descend into the base of the crater 600m down to the rim of the UNESCO world heritage site, to explore the dramatic crater, all the resident game, animals, wildlife and abundant birdlife that calls the Ngorongoro Crater home. You will discover lakes, vast open savannah plains, forests and spot a large number of wildlife including large herds of the big five of elephants, lions, buffalos, Rhinos and leopards. The crater is inarguably home to the densest concentration of wildlife and game in Africa.
You’ll later return to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge late in the evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY 13: depart ngorongoro for ARUSHA
Our fascinating safari is almost over. Today it is time to depart from beautiful Ngorongoro Crater and make our way back to Arusha. It is a fairly long drive but fairly scenic and a nice way to end our safari. On arrival to Arusha, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight back home or to your next destination.
