Social Responsibility
At Tours East Africa and Habari Travels, we are committed to attaining corporate and responsible citizenship status by adhering to ethical and socially responsible ways of doing business in all the countries in which we operate and for preserving the environment in the countries where we do business for future generations.
For every project that we participate in, we use a percentage of the profits to plant more trees in the forest plantation project that we have in Luwero, Uganda. We have so far by 2019 planted a total of 146,000 trees towards the objective of offsetting our carbon footprint.
We aim to integrate our long-term strategic business objectives, environment and social responsibilities into the way we conduct business in East Africa. Our commitment is to reduce the impact of our safari holidays and journeys onto the environment.
Tours East Africa and Habari Travels are dedicated to a corporate environment that reduces and where possible eliminates the risk to the health & safety of all our clients, driver guides, employees and the general public.
One of our main corporate responsibility priorities is to give back to communities in which we operate and serve. In addition to supporting projects for our suppliers and consumers all across the world, we provide direct social benefits to hundreds of deserving populations in need. We continue to leverage our social commitment through doing voluntary work in local communities, and support of local orphanages and charitable organisations.
We also encourage our stakeholders, suppliers and consumers to adopt our social responsibility ethos.
