Volcanoes National Park

Akagera earned its big5 status after the action of putting back the different big predators into the park; leopards, hyenas, lions, rhino and the side-striped jackal. Being the predators that they are, their main prey is flesh.
The south part of the park, there is Lake Ihema which is the habitant of hippopotamus and crocodiles. Boat cruises, fishing, swimming are some of the activities carried out on the lake.

Location of Nyungwe is southwest of Rwanda impinging on the Burundi border, to the south and lake Kivu and democratic republic of the Congo to the west.. This is a green mountain rainforest harboring so many owls, 13 primate species for example Colobus monkey, vervet monkeys, silver monkeys, red tailed monkeys etc and numerous bird species of about 285 hence the most notable ones are the Ruwenzori Nightjar, Caprimulgus ruwenzorii, blue turaco,Strip-breasted Tit Parus fasciiventer and chimpanzees worth sighting their way of living with a game guide to ensure maximum safety, featuring executive hotels and lodges for comfortable accommodation.
